Can Bearded Dragons Live in a Wire Cage?

A Note for Concerned Owners

While you might see Bearded Dragons kept in a Wire Cage, it isn't quite the ideal setup for their unique needs. The biggest challenge here is not having quite enough floor space or enough room for fun activities. Over time, this can make your pet feel a bit stressed or lead to health concerns that are easily avoided with a more optimized home.

Creating a Cozy, Safe Climate

Just like us, Bearded Dragons need to feel 'just right' in their environment. Inside the Wire Cage, it's important to set up a 'Warm Zone' and a 'Cool Spot.' The cozy side should stay around 95°F–105°F (35°C–40°C). This balance allows them to move around and find the temperature that makes them most comfortable, keeping them active and happy.

Bringing Their World to Life

For Bearded Dragons, their enclosure is where they spend most of their time. To keep their curious minds busy, we recommend adding some fun, natural activities. This includes flat stones to bask on and safe branches they can climb. These simple additions help them use their natural instincts and prevent the 'boredom' that can sometimes happen in a plain or small space.
